I am a video editor and web developer from the south of the Netherlands (Noord-Brabant), a town called Veldhoven, which is west of the City Eindhoven.
For years I have kept myself busy with audio and technology. Inspired by Herman van Veen, I started to play the violin at age 9 at the Veldhovense Muziekschool. I played until I was 13.
When I was 11, I started volunteering at our local radio/tv station (Stichting Lokale Omroep Veldhoven) where I started presenting a show called Kids Radio. After a few years I was the engineer and guide of the program. In the meanwhile I did a program called J.A.M. with my friends Jurjen van Loon and Marcel Kennis. We saw how the big boys were doing radio at 538 and wanted to replicated that as much as we could. After J.A.M. I did a clubmusic program Called Club Veldhoven, with my friends Richard van de Donk and Sjors van Dalfsen.
Because there was no audio school at the level I was at in 1998, I started studying Multimedia Design at the Graphic School in Eindhoven (now Called the Eindhovense School). In the second year, I made a video documentary about Walt Disney for the art history and appreciation class. The making of that documentary was so much fun, that I really wanted to learn more about post production. In the same year I started learning animation in Maya.
In 2000, I switched from radio to television at the local radio/tv station. With a group of people we made a registration of the Cult en Tumult Festival, one of the biggest free open air festivals in the Netherlands. In that schoolyear, I had traineeships at Verhagen and Dierks Media Productions. In the year that followed, I edited Floortje>> with Jurjen. In 2003 I started at the HKU, where I studied Audio Visual Media. I graduated in 2007 at editing.
Because of Evangelion and Love Hina, I became a big anime fan. In 2002 I started the fansite CardcaptorSakura.NL. Before anime, I was a Star Trek fan (I just watched, no cosplaying).
In 2004 I started my own company called Anillusion Digital Productions and did projects for Universal, MTV USA, Domusic and ds2p.
